What do you charge for a wedding?

I generally charge a flat fee of £800 per ceremony, plus travel expenses. This includes:

  • Designing and writing your ceremony, working closely with you and your partner through interviews, catchups, and anything else you’d like me to know (or anyone else you’d like me to speak to!)

  • Up to three drafts of the ceremony script, for your approval

  • Help with writing your vows

  • Support and suggestions for readings, tributes, symbolic acts or rituals, or music.

  • A ceremony rehearsal

  • Delivery of the ceremony itself on the day

  • A beautiful presentation script to be sent to you after the big day, for you to keep.

I don’t drive, but I’ll let you know the likely cost of my travel on trains/buses/boats/horseback as soon as I’m able, and where possible I’ll keep my options and expenses as low as I’m able.

Register office ceremonies

If you want your marriage to be legally binding, you’ll have to visit a register office if you’re in England or Wales. The fee for a short ceremony and wedding certificate can start from £48.
